Wei Jia

Wei Jia (b.1975) Wei Jia graduated from the lithograph studio of the Central Academy of Fine Arts and won the most important lithograph awards at home and abroad. On the contrary, the rigor and rationality of lithograph creation has also become Wei Jia's constraints. The limited size, complicated production process, and the dogma of "can only succeed but not fail" make Wei Jia more and more yearning for the freedom to sway freely on the canvas with ease.

In 2004, Wei Jia started to experiment with acrylic on canvas. After several years of exploration, he effectively integrated the splashing of paint with his proficient portrayal skills to form the style of today's work. The boy who often appears in the picture is often in a private, symbolic and obscure scene. The ambiguous title of the work is like a riddle, and the trees, flowers, cliffs, bushes or dim figures in the painting are like vitality. The props and the mood of the audience are the clues to the decryption.
