Introduction
Star Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of Anywhere Door -- Lou Shenyi and Wen Ling Dual Exhibition on August 22nd, 2015. The exhibition will continue until September 20th, 2015.
With Anywhere Door as the title of this dual exhibition, the show will present multiple types of works from both artists, so as to reflect their attitude in art, which is natural and free.
The themes of Lou Shenyi's works have ranged from religion, myth, and history to landscape, bird-and-flower and portrait. With his extremely indivudualized painting language, he has recreated images across a vast space and time. Wen Ling has been addicted in deep mining his individual experiences, from figurative to abstract painting, from daily life to unspeakable spiritual world, he has been continuously "stepping" on the boundary of his art.
All works exhibited in Anywhere Door were completed in 2014 and 2015, and thus carrying out a conversation between the two artists. Meanwhile, the biggest work respective from each artist, Lou Shenyi's "Grand Auspicious Clouds" and Wen Ling's "Flags", will bring the audiences unprecedented viewing experience.
