Bamboo Shoots with Pork & Ham

The title of this exhibition, “Yan Du Xian” (Bamboo Shoots Stewed with Pork and Ham), comes from the name of a soup, which will probably be served at the opening. The previous exhibitions that I did were accused of being like a pot of soup by some close friends of mine. I think I will leave them like that — just pick up the good, fresh artists in my eyes and make a pot of soup with them.

It’s just like soup, tasty but nonnutritive, with nothing but fat that spoils your waistline. It is always the artists that are nutritious, not the soup.
